Dontrelle Willis pitched five innings with four walks. Galarraga gave up 4 runs, too. Both pitched slowly. It was a hard game to watch the first few innings.

The Tigers took a 5-4 lead in the fifth. Brad Thomas gave the run back in the sixth. The Tigers finally scored two in the eighth thanks to a walk by Boesch, a two out triple by Inge and a single by Avila. Valverde closed out the game with a 1-2-3 ninth and a 7-5 win.

We left after the sixth to beat a thunderstorm home. While driving I thought we should have stayed- until we got near home. The winds are 50 MPH and there is a lot of lightning. It would definitely not be good to be walking to a car in this!
