The food was pretty good here. The beer was so so.

I had Monkey Mouth IPA which had sort of a floral, rather than citrusy balance to its bitterness. As I prefer something more like Two Hearted Ale, or something from the Perrin problems series this one was not for me.

I switched to Black Ace stout after I finished the Monkey Mouth. It had scotch overtones. I think many beer drinkers would like it. I don’t care for beers with the scotch-like taste.

The poutine appetizer with beef brisket was very good, if a bit pricey. I see why Canadians need free health care if they eat this very often, however.
