Justin Verlander was a little shaky but only gave up four through seven innings. A double play in the seventh helped as he was nearing 120 pitches.

The Tigers also scored 10 runs on 17 hits despite Verlander causing five outs in his four at bats. (He was safe on the double play according to replays.)
