BASEBALL

The Tigers win 5-2.  Verlander had a rough start loading the bases in the first inning and allowing two runs in the second inning.  The Tigers fought back to a 2-2 tie and then scored 3 in the eighth.  Valverde saved the game showing none of the control problems from yesterday.
