The Most Exciting Part of the Evening at Comerica Park

BASEBALL

You might think that Rick Porcello throwing 107 pitches and lasting 7 innings after a rough couple of innings might be the most exciting part of the night.  After all Rick Porcello might pitch as the Tigers fourth starter in the playoffs.  That wasn’t the most exciting part of the evening though.

You might think that an eleventh inning walk off 4-3 victory to stay in possession of home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs would be the most exciting part of the evening.  In fact Brandon Inge walked, then Miguel Cabrera and Victor Martinez singled in the eleventh.  So, a mix of the players you expect to contribute and one you don’t combined to get the walk off.  Everyone contributing is exciting news for the playoffs, but not the most exciting part of the evening.

Perhaps the autographed photo given as a Kid’s Club Prize should qualify as the most exciting part of the evening.  While the Tigers do treat kids well on the final home weekend, this could hardly compare with the most exciting part of the evening.

The cinnamon oatmeal chocolate covered raisin cookies were specatacular.  The Cookie Lady does not disappoint.  They were so good that I ate raisins.  I don’t eat raisins.  This was not the most exciting part of the evening.
