Halftime in the AL Central

BASEBALL

This is the Sunday closest to the halfway point of the MLB season.  The Tigers, for instance, will play their 81st game Tuesday.  Since the top 3 (or 4) Central teams are relatively close there isn’t a lot to see here.  As frustrating as the Tigers have been I could see them winning 11 of every 20 for the rest of the season.  If the White Sox hitters continue to do well they could easily stretch their lead as well.  A 3-game lead could evaporate due to some bad play or bad luck in  a single head- to-head series.

I guess the one thing this shows is the AL Central is on pace to be won by a team at 86-76.
