I hope Screencast-O-Matic goes public. I will invest so much. I expect, however, that they will be bought by a tech giant at some point. It’s OK. Their developers deserve to be rich. I have never had video software so easy to use for recording and editing.

Recently I discovered what a control on the webcam view does while recording. You can switch from big talking head, to camera off, to small talking head during recording so you do not have to do it in the editing. This seems especially useful for opening and closing instructional videos so viewers can see you as you open and close, but see the content when you explain it.
