I write on a phone as I grill.

Somehow an 85 degree day in Toledo felt more like 100 degrees. We had front row seats by the bullpen mound, but that meant no shade.

The Hens trailed 3-0, came back to tie, then lost 4-3 after allowing a ninth inning run. I had hoped there would be interesting give aways for the last Toledo home game. The Hens staff played it pretty straight though.

Toledo was definitely fun. The drive is a little too much though. Maybe we’ll cut back to 6 Hens games a year.

Since the Hens never got the lead we missed getting to see Rondon pitch again. We did see him warm up twice.
