Scherzer’s Pretty Good

BASEBALL Briefly- Scherzer pitched 8 scoreless and the Tigers won 5-1.  Avisail Garcia walked and hit an RBI single in his first full game in the major leagues.  The Tigers drew within one game of the Central Division leading White Sox.  The White Sox are 1-7 in Detroit and 4-9 overall versus Detroit this year.
